What To Do With Two Sick Kids

We have all been sick for almost a straight week now (not counting the months of on and on sickness), and I am running out of ideas on how to distract a sick baby. Luckily his big sister has been mostly amazing and super helpful, but still, every sick baby has his limits. So I decided to try out this easy baby's first painting, made with yogurt and food coloring.
Baby was happy with the novelty for a total of three and a half minutes,
and his favorite part was painting his high chair.
But big sister had a great time painting,
and then eating the paint.
Well, that was some sort of success...
Better get back to the nebulizer and steam baths, gotta get rid of these bugs!
Oh, kind of on this note, here is a video that sums up how we've been feeling lately. We thought dealing with all these issues with the second child would be a piece of cake, silly us. And the baby is ten months already. When, oh when will we be able to sleep again?! And if the video isn't enough, here is a photo of how I look today (and to think last night I was so full of stylish dreams).
Hope you are feeling better than us, and if you have suggestions on what to do with the kiddos (or the mamma), they will be much appreciated!
Cheers,

Gaby

I Miss My Style

I was looking at myself in the mirror the other day, my too big PJs covered in every bit of yuck you can imagine from 2 sick kids (who "graciously" passed their germs on to me afterwards), and thought: "Am I ever going to be able to dress up in nice clothes again?". I looked at my clothes (the ones that fit) and could not even remember what I used to wear to the lab, when Becky (the sweet admin) would say to me: "You always wear such cool clothes". All the clothes I seem to wear now look like sacks of potatoes... Uffff... I need to do something! In comes this great Stye Dare from Fox in flats: I say it's never too late to get back to feeling stylish, even if you are still getting over the stomach flu and you find inspiration on a month long dare when said month is almost over. I was ready to go to bed when I found this dare, so I decided to put on my nice blue shirt (which incidentally still has the price tag on) just to take a picture.
The hubs thought I was crazy, but it made me smile. Hope tomorrow I will feel better and have fun with my layers; and since I almost always do layers, I will try to make them more interesting... stripes, flowers, polkadots... maybe!
Cheers,

Gaby

Valentine's Day Lizards (Free Printable)

Hi everyone, it's been a while... by the way, Happy New Year :). My oh my, life goes by really fast when you have two little kids, doesn't it?
Anyway, here is a quick post to share the Valentine's day's gifts that Sophie and I are making for her friends.
She loved putting the heart beads in the lizards' tails. Fast and simple. If you like them, you are welcome to print the cards out for your Valentines (just drag or copy the one you want to your desktop, or email me for a PDF file if they don't work).
Cheers and Happy Valentine's Day,

Gaby

P.S. Q: When does a lizard go "moo"? A: When it is learning a new language!
