Happy Earth Day

Grandma and Sophie were checking out the front yard and found some tomato, cucumber or squash, and some potential strawberry plants that had grown where the compost bin was, and decided to plant them in some nice pots. They also added basil, parsley, thyme, oregano and garlic. 

Sophie's favorite part was wearing my gloves and of course, watering everything she could.

Introducing Baby Oliver

Our baby boy is here!  A whole 8 healthy pounds of baby. He was in a hurry to be born (a lot different to the 39 hr labor with Sophie!).

Aliens and stars for Sophie's spaceship

We wanted to take part in Tinker Lab's Egg Carton Creative Challenge, but could not think of what to do, until Sophie and grandma started playing in Sophie's spaceship. Then it came to us: aliens and stars, of course. It was a beautiful day, so we set up all our supplies on the deck and got cranking.

Happy Easter to y'all.

We did it! Colds and all, we still managed to do some fun stuff for Easter.
First, we started with an egg hunt on our front yard, where the sneaky bunny had hidden some cascarones (that he bought for $1.97 a dozen, since he was too sick to try to make them himself). Sophie did not appreciate the smashing on the head, but loved smashing each of the eggs on the ground.

For finding all those eggs, Sophie got some awesome paper birds and bunny that the bunny had downloaded for free from Nani Bird and Paper Box World.
