The hubby and I are big fans of
Andy Goldsworthy, but we had not introduced Sophie to his work until now, when we followed a queue from the wonderful Rachelle, of
Tinker lab, who organized
Kids Get Arty (with some other great bloggers).
We looked at some pictures online and talked about nature and art, and decided to go gather some materials for our project.
In the end, I was more involved in the making, and Sophie in the playing.
We had planned to go to the stream behind our house and make some incredible things there, but the mosquitoes were ruthless, so we decided to go back inside. Instead, we made a surprise sculpture for the faeries.
And as usual, Sophie ended up making her own version of the project.
It was fun, I cannot wait to make some more.
Cheers,
Gaby
PS. Have you seen
Rivers and Tides? It is totally awesome.
Oooh soooo soooo wonderful! Andy Goldsworthy really is a fantastic artist to explore with kids and your daisy art is just adorable.
