Aliens and stars for Sophie's spaceship

We wanted to take part in Tinker Lab's Egg Carton Creative Challenge, but could not think of what to do, until Sophie and grandma started playing in Sophie's spaceship. Then it came to us: aliens and stars, of course. It was a beautiful day, so we set up all our supplies on the deck and got cranking.

We all had to have a go, but Sophie made most of them, I promise.
And up to the outer space she went!
Look mom, I caught a star!

And here is our little bear, more than two years ago, just after aunt Sasa and uncle Andrew built her this super awesome spaceship.
To make it, they used an old door, computer part and bathroom fan (see if you can recognize each part).
We are trying to do our best to enjoy our last days with Sophie as an only child. It sure helps to have grandma around!

  1. I love this, Gaby! First of all, Sophie's space ship is amazing, and the how you and grandma incorporated the alien and star theme into the egg cartons is so thoughtful. Congratulations on baby #2 on the way!!!

    1. Thanks so much, Rachelle! And thanks for all the cool stuff you come up with your cutie pies to inspire us. Baby Oliver is now here and we could not be happier :)

  2. This is simply fantastic, creative and resourceful. Perfect for the kids! I really loved the materials you put to complete this spaceship. We did an Egg Carton Color Sorting Activity game out of the same materials you used. You should check it out! :) Preschool Egg Carton Color Sorting Activity
