Happy Halloweeeeen!!!

We I had so much fun dressing up these last few days... I wish we could wear costumes everyday! Well, maybe we will, maybe we will!
Here are some pictures of all our Halloweening :)
Sophie was all into the makeup just until I dabbed a bit on her cheek. Luckily daddy saved the night by suggesting she would make a cute Little Bo Beep :)

Thank you cards

Sophie and I finally got our act together and made some thank you cards (and even managed to write thank you notes AND put them in the mail). I was inspired by some super simple smiley cards I saw online (I cannot remember where).
They make you smile, don't they?
Cheers,

Gaby

Surprise ordinance

A while ago I stumbled upon this sign from Just something I made and instantly thought of our friends Rose and Alison. How cool would it be to put this up next to their little pond as a welcoming surprise for when they came back from all their travels? After all, they do love them some skinny dipping :).
I wanted to go the easy print and paste route, but the hubs decided to go the hard way (no surprise there) and cut the outline on a piece of wood (left from the art studio that he decided to build for me and my boxes of stuff; post to come in the future).
And since we don't have a printer at home and I did not have freezer paper to do a stencil, I ended up just copying it freehand. It could have been better, but we were quite happy with the results.
Here it is in all its glory, waiting for the girls to come back home. We hope they'll have a laugh.
Cheers,

Gaby

PS. I think I will add the missing line later, so it reads better (although it is important to notice ladies on the beach!).

A robot and his doll

Let me introduce you to: Robotito and Bebebot. They are great friends and, if you want, they can cuddle with you for hours. They can also play hide-and-seek all day, and they can fly to the moon!
Bebebot can play the xylophone and Robotito can play the piano and the tambourine, but he cannot play the ukulele.

Halloweeeeeen!

I love Halloween. The decorations, the costumes, the candy :) Ever since I moved to the States it has been one of the things I look forward to all year round. I am not really into the creepy style, though (except for my custom made fangs, that I love to wear whenever I have a chance), so our decorations are more playful than spooky.
For our pumpkin, Sophie wanted arms and legs. We thought potatoes could do the trick:
I decided to go with the Dia de los Muertos style and just paint a sort of sugar skull on it (and added the black cat -not to be confused with a teddy bear- for effect).
